Andrew Mkrtchyan, who has been a Board Member since 2007, was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank. As a founder of Ameria, Andrew Mkrtchyan has an extensive experience in strategic management advisory and investment banking, by managing Ameria Group of companies from the very first day.

Within a short period of time Ameriabank has managed to become one of the largest financial institutions in the region. The change of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank is part of the best corporate governance practice implemented by Ameriabank, which entails implementation of the rotation principle. Ameriabank assures that such change will not affect the strategy and goals of Ameriabank.

Ruben Vardanian will continue his active involvement as a member of the Board of Directors of Ameriabank and will always have his unique input in the governance of the Bank by leading several Board committees of Ameriabank focusing on areas such as strategy and development.

Emphasizing the importance of corporate governance, Board of Directors of Ameriabank will continue to expand through engagement of independent and reputable members. This will enable us to ensure the same high corporate governance standards as currently implemented by Ameriabank.
